Tv On The Radio

Golden Age

What’s better than TV On The Radio? Not much, it’s true, but how about TV On The Radio you can dance to? An uptight, funky DFA shuffle of a bassline aimed straight at your hips is lifted up in a chorus of angelic coos and radiant horns as Kyp Malone’s brittle falsetto confides, aptly enough, about an incipient age of miracles. This long-awaited fanfare from Stay Gold studio announces TV On The Radio’s emergence from the thick murk of ‘Return To Cookie Mountain’ into a bright new day and the “pellucid space” Kyp croons about here. One day they must, surely, make a false step. Not today.
