There are many reasons to hate this. One: Calvin Harris, singing like he’s reading the disclaimer on a direct debit mandate. Two: the middle-eight, where Dizzee tells his quarry she “made a real effort tonight and it shows”. Three: the ‘in the club’ video – more Slug & Lettuce Disco Tuesday than Miami with Usher. So just how is it so ace?

i'm guessing that your high score for this single means that you like it? there's not much other reason for suggesting this, just take away the last sentence and it's a complete slate of this song- and rightly so, it's shit. this is coming from someone who likes calvin harris, and i occasionally listen to dizzee as well. the video's plain naff as well, is it supposed to be a parody? somebody please tell me..

First of all let's establish that this is a dance track and there is absolutely no point even trying to criticise the lyrics , i mean come on. Does anyone listen to dance music for the lyrics? Second, the spoken style used by Calvin Harris is nothing new and works well with his catchy beats. Thirdly, "More slug and lettuce disco than miami with usher". Gimme a break! If NME are going to write reviews on different genres of music they should employ people who know what they are talking about. I definitely feel an exotic vibe with this song, very american in fact, but obviously with english rapping. Spin this in a club and it really does just work.
