Pete Doherty 'to sign for a football team' – Tabloid Hell

Apparently the Babyshambles man is set to sign up for a team…

Pete Doherty is considering signing up to play football for Buckinghamshire-based amateur team Queen's Head Rangers – according to tabloid newspaper claims.

The Sun reports that the Babyshambles man has already spent £500 on new kit for the team, who feature a picture of him on their shirts. He is now supposedly considering playing for them.

Josh Morris, boss of the club, which models itself on Doherty's favourite team Queen's Park Rangers, told the newspaper the team would be "happy to have him".

An innuendo-happy "close pal" of the former Libertine, meanwhile, is quoted as saying that "Pete is a very good footballer who scores and scores again".
