The brothers will back up their friend in Las Vegas

Oasis' Noel and Liam Gallagher are set to support their friend, boxer Ricky Hatton, by carrying his boxing belts into the ring when he fights in Las Vegas on Saturday (November 22).

The brothers will carry Hattons IBO and Ring Magazine belts before he squares up to rival boxer Paulie Malignaggi at the MGM Grand Hotel - and Hatton has revealed that he initially wanted them to play live in the ring, reports The Sun.

Scheduling issues scuppered the prospect, but the Manchester-born boxer said he was hoping his favourite band would be able to play live before one of his fights one day.

"I'd be happy to let them put on a performance but maybe after this fight and possibly for a future fight," he said. "I'm sure they would love it and I'm sure we could look at it at a future date.

"When I think of the most important things in my life, there's my family first and Campbell my son, then I've got boxing, next comes Manchester City, then it's Oasis."

Hatton introduced Oasis onstage when they kicked off their UK arena tour in Liverpool in October.
