Noel Gallagher is making 'serious enquiries' about a Lear jet

Oasis are planning on buying a private jet.

The band are looking into how much a Gallagher-owned plane would cost, and have even thought of a name for it.

Speaking on their blog Noel Gallagher said: "We're making serious enquiries as to how much one of these private jets cost. We think with a bit of creative accounting we could probably afford one."

He then jokily added the current global economic crisis had served as inspiration for the would-be plane's name.

He said: "We've christened ours 'The Credit-Crunch?' - It's the only way to fly, y'know?"

"We think with a bit of creative accounting we could probably afford one". No, you could afford it. Stop pretending you are still working-class, 'cos you ain't. That's why your later stuff lacks any real meaning. And calling it 'The Credit Crunch'? Way to pi$$ on your fans forking out for a gig ticket!

Wankers. Liam could certainly do with one for The Austrailian leg of the tour, seeing as he is Banned from Cathay Pacific! Those were the days eh? When Oasis were actually interesting.

Not very environmentally friendly, not at all working-class and barely newsworthy, other than to emphasise that Noel is completely up his own backside. BTW how about having an Oasis free week on NME.COM?

I think they should buy one each and have dog fights over Manchester dropping sweets for the children.

can someone tell oasis that on 28th oct the friends of the earth 'big ask' campaign finally triumphed and the govt passed a climate change bill pledging to cut emissions by 80% by 2050. Nice of Noel to support this

To all those that think Oasis are NOT environmetnally friendly for having a private jet. How can you say it's not enviromentally friendly when your favourite band is doing exactly the same thing, flying all over the world promoting their albums. You're all hypocrites the lot of you, you're all talking out of your arses if you think that Oasis have got a private jet anyway. Do me a favour and think before you type... you bunch of idiosyncractic The Killers loving idiots!
