Ilan Rubin will replace Josh Freese

Nine Inch Nails have recruited Lostprophets' drummer Ilan Rubin.

Rubin will join the band as of early next year.

He will replace Josh Freese, who had been with Nine Inch Nails since 2005.

follows Rubin's recent announcement of a side project called The New Regime.

It is not currently clear if Rubin's commitments with Lostprophets will be effected by his new role.
