Singer to fly to the UK to give evidence
Michael Jackson is expected to fly to the UK for an appearance at the London High Court.
The star is set to give evidence in a case in which he is accused of breaching a music contract. He is expected to arrive in London on Monday (November 24).
The singer is accused of reneging on a music deal with Sheikh Abdulla Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, who is suing Jackson for £4.7 million. He claims that under the deal Jackson was obliged to produce a new album, a stage play and autobiography in conjunction with him.
Jackson is set to appear in the court in person after a request to give evidence via video link-up was rejected, reports BBC News.
The singer has refuted the sheik's claims, saying that there was no concrete agreement between them, and that payments he has received in the past from the sheik were "gifts".
Michael Jackson's legal team had previously claimed the singer was too sick to travel to the UK.
