'Lost' Madonna recordings posted online

Madonna

Madonna

Listen to some of the singer's earliest work now

One of the earliest recordings of Madonna performing has been posted online.

A compilation of recordings that features the singer performing 'Born To Be A Dancer' and chatting with then-boyfriend Dan Gilroy in the late 1970s has been posted online at Thedailybeast.com.

The tape, recorded by Gilroy's brother Ed, features Madonna joking around with her man in her lodgings below a Queens synagogue.

The early audio recording is interspersed with a recording of her acceptance speech at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame earlier this year.
