Couple release a statement confirming tabloid reports
Madonna has released a statement through her spokesperson,, co-signed by a representative for her husband Guy Ritchie, confirming that the couple are to divorce.
The statement comes following tabloid reports this morning (October 15) that the pair were set to split.
The statement, e-mailed by Madonna's spokesperson Liz Rosenberg to Associated Press, confirmed the reports and asked the media for privacy following the announcement.
The statement outlined that the couple had not yet agreed on a divorce settlement.
