Jon Windle's fractured jaw means band are out of T and Oxegen
Little Man Tate have cancelled their appearances at this weekend's festivals, T In The Park and Oxegen, after suffering a fractured jaw in an apparently unprovoked attack.
The singer was attacked in Brighton on Wednesday night (July 9) after the band had been out with their record label.
After an X-ray, Windle has received stitches and a metal plate has been inserted into his mouth.
A spokesperson for the band said: "The guys were out on Wednesday night
celebrating with their new label Skint, when Jon was attacked by a group of thugs outside a club who were obviously looking for trouble. They badly cut up one of his eyes and fractured his jaw, so it would be impossible for the band to play either festival. They are really gutted."
Little Man Tate were due to play at Ireland's Oxegen festival on Saturday (July 12) and Scotland's T In The Park on Sunday (July 13).
