Taking to the stage at 9.15pm, the Followills opened with 'Crawl', before launching into UK Number One single 'Sex On Fire'.
Five songs in, frontman Caleb Followill spoke to the crowd simply saying "We're Kings Of Leon and we're here celebrating our album release, we hope you’re having a good time."
Watched by a crowd that included Drew Barrymore, Danny Masterson and 'Gossip Girl' actors Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick, the band made their way through a selection of tracks from their four-album catalogue including 'Molly's Chambers', 'Taper Jean Girl', 'Arizona', 'Fans'and 'The Bucket'.
"We'd like to play you guys a new song we’ve never played before," Followill said later in evening, adding, "and we have Nacho helping us out." The band’s cousin Nacho, best known as their longtime roadie, then come onstage and played keyboards on 'Only By The Night' track 'Closer'.
The band then decamped to New York rock scene's new favourite bar Bowery Electric, where they were joined by their VIP audience, while Jesse Malin DJed.
