Its utter shit. Ive heard it and can confirm its utter shit.Youll only like it if your a massive guns and roses fan and miss the sound of axls voice on record- which to be fair, was the only positive thing I can think to say about it.Bucketheads guitar solos make me want to gag. And I wont even go into the lyrics.......

17 years to make, 2 minutes to download off bittorrent, five minutes of laughing then one second to bin it. What a joke this album is...

Well I've just had a listen, and it's the biggest bag of tune-free arsewhiff I've heard in centuries. It's like "Be Here Now" wrapped in shit-smeared hair-metal spandex.

anyone notice one of the songs sounds like the start to a well known Darkness song?

I ve just listened to it and it is pretty crap isnt it. A couple of tunes sound like classic Guns and roses but most of them sound overblown up there own ass shite.

errr.... im like really, really biased, and i think it just scrapes in as a "guns" album........hmmmm... gutted and excited at the same time lol.I agree with Aphexbin Bucketheads solos are gag worthy, think i might go listen to use your illusion!

I agree with drgonzo2012, it is a pretty long album, definitely feels like Axl Rose's 17 year old monster. Some of the tracks sound really sluggish and go on for too long. Worth a listen though because there are parts in some of the songs that were definitely worth the wait, i think Axl made the mistake he made on Use Your Illusion, he didn't edit out all the filler in between the killer.

the tunes would have fitted on a 90's Ozzy Osbourne album i.e as exciting as a plate of luke warm pasta with margarine.

Very comercial stuff, innit? Guess you guys hate it! just guilty love for Catcher in the Rye and mostly There was a Time - love the kids choir in the end, bet that took 2 years to record :^)

Typical nonsense comments from a load of typical NME subsribers who think 'Dig Out Your Soul' is the best album of the year.

Duffy85- typical nonsense comment from a Axl Rose fan.I dont think Dig Out Your Soul is any good at all, but I can without a doubt, as a fan who owns all previous GNR albums and has seen the band live several times (including the band as post and pre Slash) can categorically say this album is a load of SHIT (I feel Ive earned that right- as has everybody here).Do you think all of these comments come from NME subscribers? Id bet none of them are subscribers. Most of these posters, like myself, are probably GNR fans who have eagerly looked forward to this album for ages only to be served a complete shit sandwich- which granted, some people, like yourself, will be happy to eat, but not us.

yeah i'm a huge fan of gnr and I can honestly say Chinese democracy has the opening riff to the Darkness' 'I beleive in a thing called love'

As such a big GnR fan, I'm going to assume you heard the leaks then, which was what, 10 out of the 14 songs on the album? If so, you, like most of us knew exactly what was coming. For me, the album stands up, with the exception of Shacklers Revenge there are 14 very listenable tunes on the album. Nothing close to AFD but I wasn't expecting it, as I'd heard the leaks. I'f I had not then I'd be expecting more but GnR have certainly put out worse songs than these.
