Stroke will play Hiro tomorrow (July 9)

Albert Hammond, Jr. has scheduled a last-minute show at New York’s Hiro Ballroom tomorrow night (July 9) to mark the release of his second album, released today.

The Strokes-guitarist-turned-solo-star last week previewed the record ‘Como Te Llama? ’ at a private show at Mercury Lounge, in front of a crowd that included Agyness Deyn, Kirsten Dunst, James Iha and Yeah Yeah YeahsNick Zinner.

To celebrate today’s release, Hammond will play a special show at Virgin Megastore at Union Square this evening (July 8), and following tomorrow’s 'Spin' show he will head west for a show at Spaceland in Los Angeles on July 11.

In addition to shows booked in Australia and Japan next month, Hammond and his band will open for Regina Spektor at McCarren Pool in Brooklyn on August 15.

‘Como Te Llama’ was recorded at Electric Lady studios in New York and was co-produced by Hammond, Gus Oberg, and drummer Matt Romano.
