When: August 16-17
Where: Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire
What: Since Jarvis Cocker first came up with the idea of splitting a festival over two venues in 1995 the V Festival has grown to be one of the most mainstream mixtures of music and entertainment in the country. Both events, in Chelmsford and Staffordshire are split across five stages and it's not unusual to find pop favourites sharing the same spotlight with rock legends, or Hyland Park's listed buildings sitting side-by-side with huge sound systems and lighting decks. And since 2004, when the dance stage was transformed into a new bands stage, V is a perfect place to see some of the most exciting bands in the country.
Tickets: £145 for weekend tickets with camping, £125 weekend tickets without camping, £70 day ticket - each include up to a maximum of £8 booking fee. Combined coach, camping and weekend tickets are available from £180.75 to £183.75.
